Sam won Urban Day Style

2nd in Urban Open Colour

3rd in Urban Night Style

Kelly was placed 4th in Urban Open Colour

Teagan wasn't placed this year but his work was outstanding!!

We had fantastic models!! They worked the catwalk and displayed our work amazingly.

Kelly was so blown away by her team!! Very proud moment seeing Sam become

SUPREME WINNER!!

Nicole Ireland from our sister salon Head High is also a Supreme winner for her

Directional Cut so both salons had a very strong presence at these 2012

Hawkesbay Regional Competitions

Can't wait to see them do us proud again at the Auckland National Supreme's in October

ITS THE WEEKEND!!

Before you go out and have fun this is some inspiration for all u modern brides to be!

Last Sunday Kelly and Samantha did a photo shoot with Photographer Kevin Bridle.

The theme was "Modern bride" , We thought we would change it up as we have been seeing alot of vintage. Kelly created a beautiful bun on Lydia our "bride" and it bit modern hair up on our "bridesmaid" Frances.

Samantha did the makeup on both models, something a little bit more bold.

It was a fun day and a little bit awkward for our models, You would never guess that the bride & groom had never met before this shoot poor Jesse & Lydia.

Weddings.

Weddings and winter isn't something you would normally think about.

But here at pure hair we have been.
And we love it!!
Winter makes for amazing photos.
And amazing weddings.
The harsh scenery against the softness of your dress.
The rolling clouds over the rawness of bear branches on trees.

A romantic church filled with warmth as you come in from the cold.
A morning of make up and hair around the fire with a cup of coffee or glass of champagne!

Winter makes the romantic of a wedding day slightly more romantic.

We have wedding madness.
Well, a slight obsession at the very least.

Infact two of our lovely girls, Kelly and Sam are off to do a mid-winter wedding photo shoot on Sunday.
